I have a great love of human anatomy, as well as carpentry.

I love working with my hands and fixing things. I had plenty of orthopaedic injuries as I was growing up. Through these injuries, and my father who was an orthopaedic surgeon, I was exposed to the field of orthopaedics and I came to love it.

I had a great deal of orthopaedic experience growing up. I spent more time in the orthopaedist’s office than the pediatrician’s.

Like many students, I started medical school with great enthusiasm, but with little direction.

Orthopaedic surgery allows you to see all different types of patients, from newborns to folks that have had the privilege of more years and experience than the rest of us.

I was intent from the age of 4 to follow my enthusiastic and kind mentor Dr. Babson, my pediatrician.
